Junior Data Developer/ Engineer

Reading - 3 days per week

40,000 per annum plus bonus

Overview:

We are on the lookout for a junior Data Developer/ Engineer with skills or an understanding of T-SQL and SSIS. You will be joining a Data Team at a high growth technology IoT connectivity provider who are driving and shaping a data vision and strategy across the group.

Reporting into the Group Head of Data, you will help drive the group towards a data rich and data hungry business by capitalising on the strong foundations the data team has built, continuing to build roads that will unlock data as a superpower so that our teams can gain the competitive edge and make informed decisions.#

Key Responsibilities:

Data Infrastructure & Optimization

  • Helping to design and maintain robust data models and storage solutions mainly using but not limited to SSIS, XML, T-SQL, & python.
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs
  • Optimize performance of ETL/ ELT processes and database queries.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for data workflows.

Required:

  • 1-3 years of experience within data engineering roles
  • Experience with and appreciation for end-to-end Data & Analytics lifecycles.
  • A vision for how data and analytics could help people and teams achieve their outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An eye for the detail and excellent accuracy of work.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
