Position: Secondary Business and Economics Teacher
Location: Manchester, M8
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £150–£230 per day (dependent on experience)
Age Group: KS4/KS5
Contract: Full-Time
 
About the Role:
Step into a vibrant and forward-thinking Humanities and Social Sciences faculty, where your expertise in Business and Economics will inspire students to explore real-world challenges, develop analytical skills, and think creatively. You’ll be teaching across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, bringing topics like entrepreneurship, global trade, and economic theory to life in a way that’s both engaging and meaningful.
 
What You’ll Be Doing:

Designing and delivering thought-provoking Business and Economics lessons that build confidence and curiosity.
• Supporting students as they tackle complex topics—from cash flow forecasts to fiscal policy.
• Tracking progress and adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where students feel encouraged to take risks and think critically.
• Collaborating with colleagues to shape a cohesive, enriching curriculum. 
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE in Business, Economics, or a related subject.
• A deep understanding of Business and Economics, with a talent for making abstract ideas practical and accessible.
• A passion for education and a genuine desire to help young people succeed.
• Experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly at KS4 and KS5.
• A team-oriented, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service—or willingness to apply through Smile Education.
