We are working exclusively on behalf of a specialist consultancy to deliver a high-impact data strategy and integration project for a leading professional services firm.
We're looking for a confident Data Analyst who blends strong technical capability with exceptional stakeholder engagement. This isn’t a behind-the-scenes role — you’ll be front and centre with senior legal stakeholders, translating complex data challenges into actionable business insights.

The Role:

Lead discovery, profiling, cleansing, and mapping activities to inform migration and
architecture design.
Conduct workshops with fee earners, partners, and legal operations teams.
Own the business-facing data analysis workstream – facilitating decision-making, validating assumptions, and capturing key insights.
Shape cleansing playbooks and documentation to support ongoing data quality improvements.
Work closely with the Lead Architect and Azure Data Engineer to deliver the data strategy.

Key Skills:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in data analysis, profiling, and cleansing roles.
Legal sector experience is essential – this is a must-have due to the client’s data landscape and stakeholder environment.
Ability to translate data issues into business impact, and vice versa.
Technically solid with Power BI, Excel, SQL – familiarity with Azure Data Factory or Synapse is a plus.
Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.

The Person:

Professional and credible – able to walk into a room full of legal stakeholders and lead the conversation.
Hands-on and analytical – understands both the business and the data.
Adaptable – able to work in traditional environments where preparation, communication, and trust are key.
Strong communicator who thrives in workshop settings and can act as a bridge between technical and business teams.

Logistics:

Outside IR35
£400–£450 per day
3 days onsite in Bristol, 2 remote – onsite presence is essential. Travel expenses covered where applicable.
August start through end of January, with potential extension into broader programme work.
Short, efficient interview process starting this week.

You’ll join a small, high-performing team already embedded onsite and play a pivotal role in a highly visible project.
