About the Job

The Data and Performance Officer will play a key role in supporting operational teams and senior management by delivering high-quality data analysis and performance reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability of accurate, timely, and insightful data to drive informed decision-making and service improvement across the organisation.

You will lead on the design, development, and maintenance of performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms. This includes identifying trends, generating insights, and supporting strategic and operational planning. The role also contributes to improving data governance, reporting standards, and analytics capabilities across the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

Producing accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards, including KPIs for operational and strategic teams.
Analysing large datasets to generate actionable insights and support decision-making across departments.
Working collaboratively with managers to identify key performance indicators and ensure reporting aligns with business priorities.
Developing automated reporting solutions and data visualisations using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
Conducting data audits and reviews to improve data quality, consistency, and integrity.
Supporting the implementation of best practices in data collection, management, and reporting.
Collaborating with IT and business systems teams to improve data flow and integration between systems.
Responding to ad hoc data and performance requests, providing clear analysis and evidence-based recommendations.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives through the effective use of data.
Providing property history and performance insights to support legal cases, complaints, and operational planning.
Supporting a data-informed culture by sharing knowledge, training staff in data literacy, and promoting the use of self-service reporting tools. 

Experience and Qualifications required

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about data, with strong analytical and organisational skills, and a desire to make a measurable impact through data-driven performance improvement.

Educated to A-Level or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience).
Level 3 Diploma in ICT, Business Analytics, or equivalent.
Certifications in Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms is ideal but not essential
Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or management information reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView, Tableau).
Experience in working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
Ability to identify business needs and provide technology solutions to maximise efficiency and eliminate unnecessary processes
Experience in producing and presenting high quality communications and reports to staff and senior managers 
Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills, resilient under pressure, able to meet deadlines and able to work in a constantly changing environment.
Strong understanding of relational databases and querying using SQL.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
