Data Architect

Our client, a leading financial services corporation, is hiring an Azure Data Architect to drive & design our client's data strategy as they move from on-premises to cloud services, integrating tools such as Databricks, Synapse, and ER/Studio, Erwin. Our client is looking to pay up to £83,000 plus a 15% bonus to be based in Chatham on a hybrid basis with additional benefits.

You will possess experience designing and implementing large-scale data warehousing/data modeling projects as our client rebuilds the IT ecosystem to ensure Data is at the heart of everything they do - a first in our clients history!

Core responsibilities:

Undertaking in-depth technical analysis of business requirements to feed into a technical solution
Designing technical solutions for business problems, which will require regular feedback and adjustments
Documenting all data architecture designs and analysis work as well as creating and maintaining data artifacts and design documents
Supporting the implementation of a new cloud data platform to support our clients-wide initiatives
Coaching and developing junior members in the team
Core skills and experience:

Previous experience acting as a Data Architect building major data changes within a regulated environment (ideally financial services) is a must-have
Previous experience architecting a new data warehouse/data model for a large-scale corporation is a must-have.
Solid transformation capabilities moving into Azure, Databricks, Synapse, ER Studio / Erwin is nice to have
Designing and implementing target data architectures
Standing up data architecture design and governance processes is a must-have
Mentoring junior data professionals is a must-have.
Developing and implementing enterprise data catalogs and models is a must have
