Job Description

Are you a Data Engineer with a passion for digital transformation, cloud technologies, and data automation? We are seeking an experienced professional to deploy scalable data architectures, integrating cutting-edge digital technologies. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across departments to ensure the company remains at the forefront of data-driven innovation and digital transformation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a passion for leveraging data and digital technologies to solve complex business challenges.

Your future team:

The client's team is responsible for data and information management, and the team is planning to deploy an ERP model, where you will be responsible for data migration. The role requires engagement with various data domain owners to identify existing data and plan the migration process effectively.

Your missions:

🎯 Build and optimise data pipelines for structured and unstructured data. 

🎯 Design and manage modern data architectures, ensuring scalability and performance. 

🎯 Automate data processing workflows, reducing manual effort. 

🎯 Work on data integration, ETL, warehousing, and API development. 

🎯 Deploy and maintain big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. 

🎯 Develop data models and visualisation solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. 

🎯 Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and data governance policies. 

🎯 Engage with business stakeholders to understand data needs and drive digital transformation.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills to be successful:

💡 Proven experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Digital Engineering. 

💡 Strong background in SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing technologies. 

💡 Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing. 

💡 Expertise in cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or GCP. 

💡 Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. 

💡 Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards. 

💡 Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting. 

💡 Experience working with SAP (desirable) and Azure (bonus). 

Additional Information

🔹 Sole UK nationals only

🔹 Candidates but be eligible to obtain SC clearance

🔹 Will be required to be on site in Derby 3-4 days per week

🔹 Inside IR35 contract or permanent staff position
