If so, Just Eat Takeaway.com is looking for a talented mid-level Data Engineer to join our dynamic Customer & Partner Care Product Analytics team in London!


As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support partner data sharing. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Analysts, and other Engineering teams to ensure the seamless flow and accessibility of high-quality data across the organisation. We're looking for someone who can live our behaviours of lead, deliver and care, bringing fresh ideas and driving our data-driven culture forward.


Reporting to: Senior Team Lead Product Analytics


Location: Enschede


Hybrid role:3 days a week from our Enschede office & 2 days working from home


These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Develop and optimize data models and schemas to meet diverse analytical and operational requirements, aiming high and driving excellence.
  • Implement robust data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Analysts, and engineering teams to understand data needs, integrate new data sources, and ensure data availability.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance policies and standards, engaging with Infosec and DPO teams for compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly and stay current with emerging data engineering trends and technologies.
  • Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Highly proficient SQL skills for querying and manipulating large, complex datasets.
  • Experience in fintech space with account reconciliation will be a strong plus.
  • Strong experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and various database technologies.
  • Knowledge in a relevant data engineering programming language like Python, Bash, or Django.
  • Practical experience working with major cloud platforms, including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to develop strategies that drive solutions to meet business needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences, demonstrating mutual support for success.
  • A proactive and self‑motivated passion for data and technology, staying committed to achieving goals and aiming higher to drive excellence.
