Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Brighton
Hourly Rate: £26 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and experienced Data Engineers to join our team in Brighton. The ideal candidates will be responsible for performing containment work and cabling, including the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems. This role requires proficiency in data engineering, containment systems, and cabling, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The contract is for 3 months, with an immediate start on Tuesday, 1st April. We are looking for 3 candidates to fill these roles.

Duties



Perform containment and cabling installations, including the setup of cable trays, conduits, and other containment systems.

Install and maintain structured cabling for network and data systems, ensuring efficient and high-quality setups.

*

Conduct site assessments to determine the necessary containment and cabling requirements.

*

Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure smooth project execution.

*

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cabling and containment systems.

*

Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.

*

Maintain accurate records of installations, materials used, and work completed.

*

Work effectively with other tradespeople to ensure project goals are met on time.

Skills

*

Proven experience in data engineering and cabling installation.

*

Strong understanding of containment systems and the ability to install and maintain them.

*

Experience with structured cabling (e.g., Cat6, fiber optics).

*

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to cabling and containment tasks.

*

Good troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex installation issues.

*

IPAF Certification is required.

*

ECS Card is required.

*

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

*

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Requirements

Proven experience in cabling installation and containment work.

*

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

*

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

*

Previous experience in data engineering or similar roles.

*

Valid right to work in the UK.
