Data Engineer – Oracle | Snowflake | Redress Projects

Location: Remote / London

Duration: 9 Months

Start: ASAP

Chapman Tate Associates is working with a leading financial services client based in London who is embarking on a high-profile redress and remediation programme. We're on the lookout for a contract Data Engineer with proven experience across Oracle and Snowflake environments, ideally within regulated remediation programmes.

  • Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines to support redress and remediation workflows
  • Work with structured data from multiple legacy systems (Oracle) and cloud data platforms (Snowflake)
  • Ensure accuracy and auditability of data transformations and outputs for compliance and reporting
  • Collaborate with business analysts, compliance teams, and remediation leads to understand data requirements
  • Implement robust data validation, reconciliation, and lineage tracking processes
  • Support technical documentation and handover processes to internal teams
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer within financial services, ideally on redress/remediation projects
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle (PL/SQL) – data extraction, transformation, and querying
  • Proficient with Snowflake – schema design, performance tuning, and pipeline orchestration
  • Solid understanding of data governance, auditing, and compliance requirements in FS
  • Experience with ETL tools and scripting (e.g., Python, dbt, Talend, etc.) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholder
  • Work on a business-critical redress programme with high visibility
  • Collaborate within a mature, tech-enabled financial services environment
  • Contract outside IR35 with scope for long-term extension
  • Fully remote working arrangements
