The Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility for analytical and operational purposes. We are currently undertaking an exciting digital transformation process, and this position is key to delivering our key technology and data strategy's.

Ideally you will come from an Azure background with expert knowledge of Data Factory and associated technologies.

About the role
  • Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Develop and implement data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources.
  • Optimize and improve existing data systems for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Implement data security and privacy measures in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Document data processes, systems, and architecture for future reference and training.
About you
  • Experience with ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
  • You will be regularly present in the Accrington office.
