BAM UK&I are looking for a Data Insights Analyst to be based from our offices in Stepps.

Your mission

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, translating them into effective solutions using MS Power BI to meet the business needs
• Experience of using:
o Relational Databases, SQL
o Visualisation tools: Tableau, Power BI, Power automate
o Data Warehousing: Big-query, Snowflake, Data bricks, Pyspark.
o ETL Tools: Apache, Talend
o Excel.
• Perform thorough data analysis to derive insights that contribute to enhanced business performance.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity within Power BI solutions.
• Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports, data models and dashboards for improved performance and user experience; customise visualisations and utilise DAX functions to optimise report performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, data engineers, and business analysts, to support data integration and governance initiatives.
• Provide end-user support, training and guidance on Power BI usage, functionality, and best practices.
• Conduct advanced data analysis and employ data mining methods to identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
• Provide input in the continuous improvement of the data analytics frameworks, processes, and methodologies to ensure accurate data collection, analysis and interpretation as well as reliability, governance and scale
• Develop and maintain documentation including user guides and best practices
• Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Who are we looking for?

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 3+ years as a Data Insights Analyst with a strong track record of designing and developing Power BI solutions and DAX
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights concisely,
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• A track record of working in an agile environment (Scrum / Kanban)
• A proactive and positive ‘can’ do attitude and self motivated.
• Nice to have: Experience of working in the Construction / Engineering Industry.
