Business Systems Analyst (SAP B1)

A retail business is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with a focus on SAP Business One (SAP B1) to join their team. This is a hands-on role that combines daily operational support with long-term improvement and integration projects across a dynamic systems landscape.

You will serve as the internal subject matter expert for SAP B1, SAP Customer Checkout (CCO), and various integrated platforms including eCommerce, WMS, and BI tools. The role sits within the IT function and involves working closely with end users, external vendors, and the Head of IT.

Key Responsibilities

Provide functional support and configuration for SAP Business One and related applications (e.g. B1 add-ons)
Manage user roles, permissions, issue resolution, and ongoing support across departments
Maintain and improve data integrations between SAP and platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Proteus, and CCO
Liaise with external vendors to manage escalations, system changes, and new requirements
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), create documentation, and assist with internal training
Contribute to process automation and system enhancements in collaboration with IT and business teams
Identify data quality gaps and opportunities for improved data capture and reporting
Support project delivery and business change initiatives led by the Head of IT
Oversee data validation and integration monitoring for key business workflows

Role Requirements

Practical experience with SAP Business One, including functional configuration and workflow management
Knowledge of tools such as Codeless Platforms BPA, Boyum B1UP, and Cindercone Magma
Experience with integrations across eCommerce platforms, WMS, POS, and ERP reporting tools
Background in wholesale, distribution, or retail environments preferred
Strong understanding of how business processes translate into system functionality
Proficiency with SQL (experience in a SAP HANA environment is advantageous)
Exposure to Power BI, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), ETL tools, and DAX or Power Query (desirable but not essential)
Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users and manage third-party relationships
Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
