Are you a dynamic and globally-minded Geography Teacher passionate about understanding our planet's physical and human landscapes? Our Outstanding school in the historic cathedral city of Winchester is seeking an enthusiastic Full-Time Teacher of Geography to join our dedicated and highly successful Humanities department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the geographical understanding and critical thinking skills of students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level) within a supportive and ambitious educational environment.
In this rewarding full-time role, you'll get to:

  • Ignite Global Curiosity: Deliver inspiring and effective Geography lessons, exploring diverse physical processes (like the South Downs National Park on our doorstep), human environments (from local urban development to global cities), and contemporary global issues.
  • Develop Critical Analytical Skills: Equip students with the ability to interpret geographical data, analyse spatial patterns, evaluate environmental challenges, and propose sustainable solutions.
  • Utilise Local & Global Contexts: Capitalise on Winchester's unique historical and geographical setting, and its proximity to diverse landscapes for fieldwork, whilst also exploring global case studies.
  • Contribute to a Collaborative Department: Join a supportive and innovative Humanities department that values teamwork, shared best practice, and a collective commitment to student success.
  • Thrive in a Stimulating Environment: Teach highly motivated students, fostering a vibrant learning atmosphere and encouraging a deep engagement with the subject.
  • Shape Future Leaders: Play a key role in guiding A-Level students towards further study at leading universities in Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, International Relations, and other related fields.
