Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Spalding
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a dedicated History Teacher ready to bring the past to life for the next generation? GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Spalding.

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across a range of students. Your lessons will spark curiosity, develop critical thinking, and deepen students’ understanding of global and British history.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality history lessons.
Create a classroom culture that fosters curiosity, respect, and independent thinking.
Assess and track student progress in line with curriculum objectives.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities.
Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and a passion for historical education.
Uphold high standards of behaviour and safeguarding.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Specialism in History or a closely related subject.
Experience teaching history across a range of classes.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for your subject and the ability to inspire students.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
