The Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Hands-on Java Developer to join a Tier-1 Global Financial Institution's Fixed Income team. This isn't a "business as usual" role-you will be a key architect in re-engineering a mission-critical trading platform, migrating legacy systems into a cloud-native, microservices architecture.

The Environment

Location: Hybrid (3 days in the City of London).
Type of Role: Permanent
Focus: Electronic Trading, Messaging Channels, and Exchange Interfacing.
Tech Culture: Modern engineering with AI-integrated workflows (GitLab Duo/CoPilot).Your Technical Arsenal

Java Expert: Mastery of core Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration.
Domain Specialist: Deep experience in Fixed Income (Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, Mortgages) and trading protocols like FIX/FpML.
Data & Messaging: High proficiency in SQL, Kafka, MQ, and Data Modelling.
Modern DevOps: Strong Git skills and experience building unit tests for robust CI/CD pipelines.Why this role?
