Role: Lead C# Developer - Fixed Income

Location: London, 3 days per week on site required

Duration: 6-month contract

Are you a highly skilled C# Developer with a deep understanding of Fixed Income products and the confidence to take ownership in a front-office environment? Join a globally respected financial institution at the very start of an exciting new project. You'll have a direct impact on the design and delivery of technology solutions supporting bond and swap trading in a fast-paced, business-facing role.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position within a Front Office Fixed Income technology team, offering significant autonomy and visibility. You will act as the key technical representative for the team, attending stakeholder meetings, partnering directly with Directors, and solving complex business problems with robust backend solutions.

Working primarily with C# and SQL Server, you'll design and implement high-performance systems that support trading desks across the Fixed Income space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, has strong financial knowledge, and enjoys building relationships with both IT and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Represent the IT team in meetings with Directors and business users

Own and drive backend solution design using C# and SQL Server

Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and senior stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions

Work hands-on across all stages of the SDLC, from early design through to deployment

Apply in-depth knowledge of bonds, swaps, and Fixed Income trading workflows

Ensure systems are scalable, high-performing, and meet regulatory obligations

What We're Looking For

Expert-level C# development experience (including .Net Core)

Strong experience with SQL Server and backend architecture

Proven background in the Fixed Income domain (bonds, swaps, pricing models, etc.)

Ability to operate independently and represent IT in front-office settings

Solid understanding of both technical concepts and trading business processes

Comfortable in a senior role, owning solutions end-to-end

Background in banking or capital markets environments
