We’re on the lookout for a Motorcycle Service and Preparation Operative who could have technician experience to join our fast-growing and passionate team at MotoMine Projects in Yateley, Hampshire. The Motorcycle Service and Preparation Operative plays a vital role in ensuring motorcycles are assessed, serviced, and prepared to the highest standards prior to sale or further repair, previous technician experience could be helpful. Main Duties:

  • Conduct visual and mechanical inspections upon motorcycle arrival.
  • Collaborate with the team to prioritise and schedule bike preparation efficiently.
  • Ensure engines are running wherever possible, assessing each motorcycle individually.
  • Perform basic service tasks including oil and filter changes, spark plug replacement, battery testing, and chain maintenance.
  • Check key electrical systems such as lights, indicators, and horn.
  • Document motorcycle condition and completed service work accurately, highlighting any major mechanical or safety concerns to management.
  • Generate a "Highlight Report" to identify available replacement parts from stock.
  • Ensure documents and keys are appropriately requested and paired with motorcycles.
  • Maintain safe and organised storage of motorcycles within the warehouse.
  • Assist in unloading, loading, and movement of motorcycles around the site.
  • Support the photography process to ensure motorcycles are visually well-presented for sale.
  • Prepare motorcycles for assessment, photography, and sale presentation.
  • Facilitate sold motorcycle handovers, including moving bikes to designated collection bays when required.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organised, and safe working environment at all times.
    Key Skills:
  • Solid customer service and professional attitude.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of motorcycles.
  • Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic kit.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and simple data entry.
  • Confident working independently or with a tight-knit workshop crew.
    Bonus Points For:
  • Previous experience in a bike workshop or similar role.
  • Motorcycle license.
  • NVQ/BTEC or other qualifications in motorcycle or automotive engineering.
  • Familiarity with Proclaim or claims processes.
    The Essentials:
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-time (Saturday shifts are run 1 in 4)
  • Location: Yateley, Hampshire
  • Salary: £27,000
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent
