Blackstone Recruitment are currently working with a private client based in North London who are looking for Practitioner Psychologist to join their team.

Our client are the UK’s leading provider of private mental health care. We have an outstanding reputation both for the service we deliver and for the investment we make in our people and in our environment. The Priory Hospital North London is renowned for its clinical excellence in the field of Acute Mental Health, Addiction and Adolescent Services. The Hospital is located in a secluded part of Southgate, North London, and set in several acres of private grounds. Easy access via several bus routes, M25 and A406 or Southgate Station on the Piccadilly Line.

Our client are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic clinical/counselling psychologist to join a small and dedicated inter-departmental team. The team offers services across the hospital, and supports a number of specialist services. Reporting to the Specialist Therapies Lead, the successful candidate will hold the following responsibilities:

  • Work on both our private and NHS acute units, supporting service users with complex mental health needs

  • Provide both group and 1:1 support to both inpatients and outpatients

  • Provide supervision to junior colleagues

  • Hold a small caseload of CAMHS outpatients

  • Support with new service initiatives, linking in with the North London site as well as the greater hospital group

    Requirements

  • Relevant degree allowing HCPC registration (HCPC registration must be in place at the time of application)

  • Be able to deliver more than one therapy modality, with a minimum of CBT and at least two other modalities

  • Ability to work across the lifespan

  • Ability to carry out assessments

  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity and proactivity, as well as team-playing alongside independent case load management

    Desirable

  • Experience of supervising others

  • DBT skills
