Fantastic Opportunity: Year 2 Teacher – WD18

Location: WD18 Area, Hertfordshire
Position: Year 2 Teacher
Start Date: April 2025 (Easter half term)
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS, Fringe

The Role:
As our Year 2 Teacher, you’ll have the chance to spark curiosity and create a love for learning in the heart of your students. You’ll design creative, hands-on lessons that make learning come alive and build a classroom environment where every child feels valued, confident, and motivated. Whether it's through imaginative storytelling, exciting science experiments, or inspiring problem-solving, you’ll help your students achieve their best and have fun doing it!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver exciting, interactive lessons that inspire and engage Year 2 students.

  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback that helps every child grow.

  • Build a nurturing, inclusive classroom where every child feels supported and encouraged.

  • Collaborate with a passionate team of teachers to ensure high-quality learning experiences across the school.

  • Get involved in school-wide events and activities that contribute to our vibrant, school community.

    The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.

  • A creative, enthusiastic educator who can make learning fun and exciting.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.
