With a 9.6 rating on (url removed) and a “Good” CQC grade, we’re proud of what we’ve built. Now, we’re looking for a passionate Second Chef to help us deliver food that feeds the body and soul.

Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour

Contracted hours: 25 hours per week

What This Role Means to Us:
You won’t just be cooking you’ll be helping residents relive memories, celebrate the everyday, and feel truly at home. From Sunday roasts to birthday bakes, you’ll bring skill, heart, and warmth to every plate.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll work closely with our Head Chef, preparing delicious, well-balanced meals tailored to residents’ needs and preferences. You’ll contribute to menu planning, oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, and ensure our high standards for hygiene, safety, and stock management are always met.
About you:
You’ll work side by side with our Head Chef, crafting meals that are balanced, nutritious, and tailored to our residents’ needs and preferences. From Sunday roasts that bring back fond memories to birthday cakes that spark smiles, your work will have heart behind every plate.
There will be times you take the lead – managing the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, planning menus that celebrate the seasons, and making sure everything runs smoothly, safely, and within budget. You'll help ensure the kitchen is stocked, spotless, and compliant with all food hygiene and health & safety standards.
But most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that works closely together – chefs, carers, nurses, and housekeepers – united by a shared belief that mealtimes are moments to be cherished.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need some professional kitchen experience, preferably in care or hospitality, and ideally hold relevant culinary qualifications and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You’ll bring a calm, collaborative approach, a love of food, and a genuine desire to make a difference to someone’s day every day.
