Secondary Maths Teacher - Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching may be available for the right candidate)
  • Engage students through well-planned, innovative, and differentiated teaching methods
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages high expectations and achievement
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that supports growth and improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices
  • Contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities that support wider school life

    Secondary Maths Teacher - Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject is highly desirable
  • Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, with strong classroom management skills
  • A deep understanding of the mathematics curriculum and effective pedagogical strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support students of varying abilities and backgrounds
