Our client in London is currently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

Originally established 35 years ago as a small structural engineering firm in Dublin, the company has since grown into a leading international multidisciplinary consulting engineering practice. To date, they have successfully delivered over 11,000 projects across 15 countries.

Their team includes experts in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainability, Public Health, and Environmental Engineering, as well as Ecologists. Job responsibilities:



Lead and manage mechanical design projects from start to finish.

Make sure all designs follow industry standards and meet client needs.

*

Work closely with different teams to create smart and effective solutions.

*

Help and guide junior engineers with technical support.

*

Keep records up to date and make sure projects are finished on time.

*

Do HVAC design work, including load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and airflow analysis.

*

Write clear documents like risk assessments, technical specs, reports, installation plans, and O&M manuals.

*

Work together with other engineers to deliver successful projects.

*

Always ensure the work follows rules, safety guidelines, and company quality standards.

Qualifications:

To begin with, candidates should have proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Additionally, a strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and relevant software is essential.

Moreover, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are highly valued.

A relevant degree or professional qualification in mechanical engineering is also required.

Equally important, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is necessary for success in this role.
