Senior .NET Developer - £50,000 - Newcastle Upon Tyne (Hybrid)

Avanti Recruitment is partnering with an innovative software development company based in Newcastle upon Tyne that provides specialist solutions for engineering businesses in regulated industries.

About the Company

My client has developed specialised business management software that serves engineering companies in the Defence and Nuclear. With recent expansion and new client acquisition, they're now looking to strengthen their development team with a Senior Software Engineer who can drive technical improvements and help shape the company's future.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a small but ambitious company at an exciting stage in their growth. The successful candidate will work directly with the founder, who splits his time between this venture and another established technology business. You'll have the chance to:

  • Drive development of new features and platform improvements

  • Work with customers to deploy upgrades and implement feedback

  • Collaborate with technical team members to identify optimal solutions

  • Help shape the technical direction of the company

    Technical Environment

  • Primary technologies: SQL Server, C# .NET, Angular/TypeScript

  • Currently working with .NET Framework 4.8 with plans to modernize

  • Web-based UI development

  • Opportunity to introduce new technologies and approaches

    What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of experience in end-to-end software development

  • Working knowledge of C# and database design (specific expertise not essential)

  • Experience with web-based UI development

  • Creative thinking and ability to understand user needs

  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently

  • Must be commutable to Newcastle Upon Tyne (2-3 days per week in office)
