Techniche Global are supporting a global technology leader in the in the Defence sector to appoint a Senior Software Assurance Consultant. 
  
Salary: £60k-70k per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Portsmouth (hybrid -2/3 days per week mix)
Duration: perm role

We are looking for a Senior Software Assurance Consultant to support the delivery of software across multiple projects in their Air sector.

What You'll Be Doing:

Conducting Independent Technical Evaluations of aircraft software with a focus on safety.
Developing and populating software safety arguments, ensuring the software under review meets the required standards.
Verifying that the software is developed according to known software standards.
Ensuring the development process follows the correct safety-critical software standards, and evaluating changes down to the source code level, particularly SPARK Ada.
Collaborating with project teams, providing assessments and interfacing with safety experts and company systems. Skills and qualifications: 

A technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, or similar) or equivalent relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge of aircraft software development and recognized software development standards.
Extensive experience in safety-critical software development and safety engineering.
Proven experience as a Software Technical Assessor or a software engineer in a safety-critical environment. Please note, due to the nature of the Government Defence Projects this role will be working on, SC Security clearance will need to be achieved, the criteria for this is we will only be able to consider applications from Sole UK Nationals
