Job Title: ServiceNow Platform Developer
Location: London, UK
Type: Contract
Work Mode: Hybrid

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Platform Developer for a contract role based in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development, configuration, and optimization of ServiceNow applications and integrations, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with platform best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development & Configuration

Develop and configure Custom Applications, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts.

Implement and maintain Workflows, Flow Designer flows, and Integration Hub spokes.

Support integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, Kafka, etc.

Translate architecture/designs into scalable, performant code aligned with ServiceNow standards.

Performance Optimization

Profile and debug scripts, workflows, and queries to identify bottlenecks.

Optimize GlideRecord, ACL performance, background jobs, and indexing.

Collaborate with architects on performance improvement strategies.

Code Quality & Technical Debt

Identify and resolve technical debt in custom modules.

Participate in code reviews; refactor and write clean, modular code following best practices.

Testing & Validation

Conduct unit and regression testing; assist with performance testing.

Use Instance Scan, Script Tracer, Debug Logs, etc. to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Agile Collaboration & Demo Readiness

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Collaborate with BAs, Product Owners, and Developers to ensure business alignment.

Prepare instances for demos/UATs: data setup, role mapping, and environment cleanup.

Lead technical demos and ensure environments are stable and performance-tested.

Release Support

Define/manage release readiness criteria from a technical standpoint.

Support bi-weekly feature releases, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery.
