SQL Database Administrator – (DBA, Database Administrator, SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSMS, PowerBi, T/SQL, Data Warehouse) – Bolton/Hybrid

Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for a SQL Database Administrator on a permanent basis for our fast growing national client based in Bolton. This role is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite 2 days remote per week.

Location: Bolton/Hybrid (3days onsite per week)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the SQL Database Administrator:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is vital

  • Extensive SQL Server experience, versions 2016 and newer

  • SSIS and SSMS experience

  • Previous experience of working within and contributing to the creation of a Data Warehouse

  • Strong maintenance and backup of servers

  • T/SQL experience

  • Any PowerBi knowledge is highly desirable

  • Database testing is highly desirable

  • Any SSRS experience is highly desirable

    Start date is ASAP for the SQL Database Administrator

    The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Data Warehouse on a day-to-day basis

  • Creating, developing and maintaining SQL Server systems and processes

  • Maintaining daily and weekly backups

  • Troubleshooting issues passed on by the Analytics team or the Service/Application teams

  • Assisting in the completion of the Data Warehouse build

  • Upgrading software, when and where needed within the business that is connected to the Data Warehouse

  • Defining database schema, tables, indexes, Views, stored procedures and triggers

  • Writing complex SQL scripts pulled from multiple data sources

  • Assisting the team in migrating and optimizing the cleaning of data
