This is a full-time, permanent role with a small but fast-growing UK manufacturing business undergoing significant investment in its systems and operations.

The Systems Manager will take full ownership of the IT estate, covering infrastructure, ERP, CRM, application support, and networking and play a key role in shaping how technology supports the business across production, sales, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and develop on-prem IT infrastructure (no cloud)

Administer and automate ERP and CRM systems

Write SQL queries, procedures, and reports

Support 60+ users across 3 sites (sales, manufacturing, distribution)

Manage BAU issues while driving tech improvements

Deliver custom app changes and integrate new production lines

Report directly to the Technical Director and CEO

Key Requirements

Hands-on, all-round IT operator

Strong SQL and ERP experience in a manufacturing environment

Comfortable owning systems end-to-end (infra + apps)

Able to balance BAU support with ongoing improvements

Onsite presence essential – no remote working

Experience working solo or in lean teams is a plus

ERP/MRP – AR/AP, BOMs, purchasing, inventory, sales
Dynamics 365 CRM + PowerApps custom modules
SQL – advanced querying, views, stored procedures
Power BI – KPI dashboards and reporting
VMware (vSphere & ESXi)
Microsoft Server 2012R2–2022
Active Directory / Intune / DHCP / DNS / GPO
Networking – Ubiquiti & Cisco
SAN & NAS storage / Veeam backup & DR
