Job Overview: Retained by our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer we are looking for a Toolmaker to join their team.
Remit:

  • As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the repair & service of injection mould tools.
  • The successful candidate will be required to have previous injection mould tooling experience, competent with using CNC milling machines (Heidenhain preferred) with the ability to work on their own initiative within a small tooling team.
  • This role would suit a skilled Toolmaker or CNC Machinist/Programmer looking to work within a team who put their staff at the forefront of their business.
    Role:
  • As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of injection mould tools on site.
  • Use of CNC milling machines
  • Use of EDM spark eroders
  • Use of conventional toolroom machinery, surface grinders
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the desire to learn and develop upon their skills as this position can offer growth, stability and security.
    Experience Requirements:
  • Engineering Qualification / Time Served Apprenticeship
  • Previous injection moulding tool making/ maintenance experience
  • CNC milling experience is essential (Heidenhain)
  • EDM spark erosion experience would be desirable
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, work on own initiative or within a small tooling team.
  • General understanding of how to safely operate toolroom equipment and machinery
  • Experience in interpreting engineering drawings both 2D and 3D
  • Computer literate with experience of using MS Excel, MS Word & Power
