We are delighted to be recruiting for one of the UK's top independent Digital Agencies with a long track record of designing and developing innovative and cutting edge web, mobile and digital applications for companies across the UK and Europe. We are looking for a mid-level Web Developer with skills in PHP, Laravel and MySQL to work on a number of new projects for their clients.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design and develop new digital, web and mobile applications. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects. This company have an impressive portfolio of clients and they have a dynamic culture and a strong family feel among their team members.
We are looking for a Web Developer who is a problem solver, has a passion for creating compelling applications and who considers the whole product when developing solutions
Skills:
It would be useful to have core skills in most of the following:

  • PHP
  • Laravel or similar framework experience
  • HTML5, CSS3
  • JavaScript or TypeScript and a framework (React, Vue or similar)
  • WordPress knowledge
  • GitHub or Gitlab
  • Apache
    Other useful skills:
  • PHP Software Developer being able to clearly demonstrate
  • Solr, ElasticSearch or other Lucene based enterprise search engines
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Solr, ElasticSearch or other Lucene based enterprise search engines
  • MySQL, MariaDB or similar SQL database
  • Linux and MacOS
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps
  • Experience in cloud based development and deployment - AWS ideally
    Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and developing web applications
  • Working on client projects to design and develop cutting edge PHP & Laravel websites, mobile apps and digital products
  • Work alongside Development, Design, QA and Product Management members of the team
  • Learning new technologies & trends
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members when and where appropriate
