Overview:
Our Client, a leading investment bank seeks a Windows Systems Engineer to manage, support, and enhance the global Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure. The role includes project delivery, automation implementation, and 24/7 international platform support, contributing to a high-performing and secure IT environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Windows Server platforms ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Deliver infrastructure projects and enhancements on time and within budget.
Automate tasks and processes using PowerShell, Ansible, AWX, and REST API integrations.
Perform system health checks, ensure backups, and manage capacity planning.
Monitor alerts, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents with a customer-first mindset.
Provide technical support and consultancy to development and application support teams.
Implement disaster recovery procedures and participate in regular DR testing.
Apply patches and updates in line with security and compliance policies.
Maintain documentation and contribute to operational procedures.
Participate in on-call and weekend support rotations. 
Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong expertise in Windows Server 2008–2019 technologies.
Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Git or similar tools.
Knowledge of security hardening standards (CIS), networking, storage, and virtualization.
Experience with clustering, high-availability, disaster recovery, and auditing.
Understanding of data governance and compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
