Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering client, located in Sparkbrook, Birmingham. Due to company growth, our client are looking for a Spark EDM Machinist to join their small team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client are a quality-focused precision engineering company specialising in the supply of complex precision components and sub-assemblies, to customers ranging from large corporations to small and specialised companies. All work is completed in accordance with ISO:9001 requirements.

They supply numerous industrial sectors, including aerospace, packaging, electronics, motorsport, medical, pharmaceutical, and plastic injection moulding, both in the UK and overseas.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday (08:00 until 16:30) & Friday (08:00 until 13:00)

SALARY/PAY: £16-18 per hour (Dependent on experience)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Machining a range of metals into precision components for aerospace, motorsport, and medical applications.

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical diagrams

  • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment at all times.

  • Providing feedback to team leaders and shop floor staff to highlight any technical issues or potential risks.

    PERSON REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience working within spark EDM machining is required.

  • Understanding of CMM machinery.

  • A committed and driven approach to work
