Are you an enthusiastic and committed ECT Chemistry Teacher ready to begin your teaching career in a supportive and forward-thinking school? We are excited to welcome a newly qualified Chemistry Teacher to our dedicated Science Department in Sutton Coldfield starting in September 2025.

You’ll be supported every step of the way, from your induction year through your development as a confident and impactful teacher.

Your Role as an ECT Chemistry Teacher

As a member of the Science team, you’ll:



Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5 as you develop.

Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that spark curiosity and develop students’ scientific thinking.

Work with a mentor and receive regular feedback to support your professional growth.

*

Support curriculum planning, contribute fresh ideas, and take part in collaborative department meetings.

*

Encourage enrichment, helping with science clubs, competitions, and other events to promote a love of Chemistry beyond the classroom.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a newly qualified Chemistry Teacher who is:

✔️ Qualified with a degree in Chemistry (or a closely related subject) and holds or is working towards QTS.
✔️ Passionate about chemistry and enthusiastic about sharing that passion with students.
✔️ Reflective and open to feedback, with a willingness to learn and grow as a professional.
✔️ A team player who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive staff culture.
