We're Hiring: Data Governance Manager at CWA (Civil Works Alliance) | Sizewell C Project

Are you a highly skilled Data Governance professional with a passion for creating data-driven cultures and ensuring that critical data is managed effectively? Join us at the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), where we are playing a pivotal role in the development of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will generate clean, low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, powering the UK's energy future for decades.

As the Data Governance Manager, you'll take the reins in defining and delivering our data governance framework, ensuring the integrity, security, and quality of critical data across the Sizewell C project and its supply chain. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly collaborative and dynamic team while directly contributing to one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Develop and lead the data governance strategy and roadmap for Sizewell C.

Implement a scalable framework to manage data quality, metadata, master data, and security.

Collaborate with senior leaders to integrate data governance into business practices.

Manage data stewardship programs to ensure critical data sources are certified and improved.

Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.

Engage with stakeholders across SZC, ensuring all teams are aligned with governance policies.

What You’ll Need:

Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, quality management, metadata, and master data.

Experience managing large datasets, preferably with expertise in Microsoft Azure platforms (e.g. Purview).

A solid understanding of data regulations such as GDPR, ISO8000, and ISO27001.

Proven leadership skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders across the organization.

Prior experience in a data governance role in complex, large-scale projects, ideally within the infrastructure or public sector space.
