Data Governance Consultant
Outside IR35 | Remote first | £500-£600 | 12 months

Are you passionate about data and its power to drive smarter decisions? SR2 is looking for a proactive, self-starting Data Governance specialist to play a key role in advancing data management across a government department.

In this vital role, you’ll support the operational delivery of data governance initiatives—bringing structure, coordination, and analytical expertise to help mature our data practices. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to embed data governance processes, promote data literacy, and ensure alignment with existing RN policies and standards.

A major focus of the role includes leading data maturity assessments and establishing directorate-level data governance boards, laying the foundation for stronger, more informed decision-making across the department.

Due to the secure nature of the data, you will be working with, our client requires all applicants to have active SC clearance. They cannot put you through this if you do not already have it, so please only apply if you have active SC clearance. The role will be mostly remote but will require some onsite working in the south UK for key meetings.
