System Developer

Engage, a leading technology-driven field services provider, is looking for an experienced System Developer to join our talented development team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. We conduct over 50,000 visits every month across the UK and Ireland, and we're seeking a developer to help us maintain, support, and enhance our systems.

The role will consist of helping the team maintain various systems across a variety of languages – mainly VBA, but also C# and VB .NET. Our systems are database driven using a SQL Server back end.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and develop systems using tools like SQL, Access, .NET, and VBA

Plan, develop, and implement applications following industry best practices

Support end users, address queries, and resolve technical issues

Collaborate with 3rd party providers and internal teams to meet business and client needs

Assist with gathering and analysing user requirements

Maintain technical documents and ensure system security

What We Are Looking For:

Strong experience as a Back-end Developer, with proficiency in SQL Server, VBA, and C#

Knowledge of .NET (C#) and database development/optimization

Ability to work independently and as part of a team on larger projects

A logical, motivated individual who’s eager to learn and improve processes
