We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a dynamic delivery team working on complex systems design and implementation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced solutions designer to join a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment where your knowledge, ideas, and leadership will directly impact the delivery of cutting-edge projects.

About the Role

  • Work as part of a growing team that values knowledge sharing and technical excellence
  • Support the design, testing, integration and implementation of a wide range of system components
  • Act as a key interface between architects, project managers, and live service support teams
  • Own technical solutions from initial design through to implementation and enhancement phases
  • Provide 4th line support to live services, helping ensure operational stability
  • Contribute to mentoring and upskilling the wider support team

    Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support documentation
  • Lead technical delivery from design through to build and handover
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across virtualisation platforms and Microsoft technologies
  • Deliver enhancements and ongoing changes in response to evolving customer requirements
  • Collaborate closely with testing and integration teams to ensure solution reliability and scalability

    Essential Experience

  • Proven experience delivering full technical solutions across design and build phases
  • Strong knowledge of virtualisation, especially VMware vSphere 6.7 and/or 7
  • Skilled in ESX performance fault finding and tuning
  • Experience with storage platforms including Veeam, NetApp, iSCSI, Fibre Channel and NFS
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and Microsoft Stack troubleshooting
  • MCSE certification or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience producing clear, structured, and supportable documentation

    Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to ISODE messaging products such as MBOX, MSWITCH, MVAULT and HARRIER Web Client
  • Knowledge of SQL and database management
  • Understanding of Network Data Diodes and their implementation
  • Familiarity with Splunk for monitoring and analysis
