Here's what you'll be doing npower Business Solutions (nBS) powered by E.ON is a leading £5 billion revenue business with a vision to become the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance & Insight Senior Analyst to join our Mid-Market Insight team on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll take the lead on key performance and insight activities, helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the segment. This is a hybrid role, working on site at our Solihull hub one day a week.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and provide insights on performance across the segment, identifying trends and underlying causes. Support stakeholders in addressing challenges and foster continuous improvement through training and process enhancements to strengthen compliance and outcomes.
Prepare business cases and forecasts for steering business outcomes, being a key interface with Controlling, Sales, Service and Operation teams.
Deliver commercial and operational Continuous Improvement initiatives prioritised by business need and impact based on performance insights and working closely with stakeholders.  
Develop segment and channel strategies to optimise end to end performance, in line with business expectations and market conditions.
Understand and interpret internal/external policy/regulation changes and provide recommendations to ensure adherence.
Ensure resource planning is in place and meets the segments and channels’ needs for capacity and skill levels, with appropriate training initiatives in place to support this.
Ensure data quality and integrity by collaborating across all teams within the segment to maintain accuracy. What we need from you What we need from you

Advanced T-SQL with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Advanced user of PowerBI with experience of delivering reporting solutions.
Experience of building complex analytical models through Excel, access and other software. 
Strong prior experience within an insight environment.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of gross margin and EBIT management.
High personal and professional integrity with desire to drive the highest quality, customer experience, regulatory and ethical standards.
The ability to support and manage multiple stakeholders with different perspectives, needs and priorities in an increasingly cost/investment constrained environment with a passion for delivering financial value, customer, and operational excellence.
The ability to analyse and interpret complex, multiple sources of data and insight to optimise financial performance, provide commentary and make strategic recommendations to inform critical business outcomes.
Demonstrable coaching capabilities within a multi-functional team of specialists
