Michael Page Technology are proud to be partnered once again with one of our key clients within the Midlands Technology space. Following continued investment, they are now hiring for an experienced IT Operations Engineer to cover both project-based work and senior BAU responsibilities across their internal systems, working across the Microsoft stack including both core infrastructure and SQL and Powershell.

With a firm reputation for excellence and innovation, they have an established in-house IT team team covering areas including both development and operations.
Following fresh investment into the business as they continue to scale, the organisation are now recruiting for an experienced IT Operations Engineer, skilled in the Microsoft stack, as well as experience with SQL and Powershell.Description

As the successful candidate for the IT Operations Engineer role, you will join an established in-house IT function, taking responsibility for a wide array of project-based and senior-level BAU of the company's core internal systems.
This will largely be Microsoft focused, where you will be covering Windows Server through to version 2022, Hyper V, Azure and Office365, as well as significant responsibility around SQL administration and Powershell scripting.
One of the core strategic goals of the leadership team through 2025 is to maximise efficiency of the organisation's internal systems and the central platform that provides a variety of services to the customer base.
In addition to the core elements of project work, you will also act as an escalation point and mentor for some of the junior engineers, helping upskill the wider team in the areas that you are strongest.
The business have a head office in Birmingham, which is where the majority of the team are based. You will ideally be based locally, but will have the benefit of being able to work remotely 3+ days per week.Profile

You will ideally be experienced at a 3rd Line / project level in the following areas:

Windows Server 2022
Azure
Office365
Powershell
SQL Server - backups / restores / log filesJob Offer

Starting salary of £45,000 - £55,000.
