IT Support Engineer

JS Legal Recruitment Ltd is excited to be working with a highly regarded law firm based in Braintree. Who have an opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide hands–on, front line support to users of varying skill sets and experience.

Experience

  • To provide technical desk-side and remote support to telephone and email requests from users for all PC Hardware, Software, and associated peripherals

  • Log support calls and document their outcome to facilitate the resolution of common queries

  • Troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues

  • To pr- actively provide information to users on the progress of outstanding support calls

  • To deploy PCs and associated peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment

  • Managing VOIP and digital phone systems

  • Assisting with the maintenance and distribution of software packages, manual and automated

  • To redirect or escalate support requests to external IT Consultants if required

  • To install and configure operating systems to the standards agreed with the external IT consultants

  • To assist in the preparation, installation and maintenance of the firm’s disaster recovery centre and to assist with and give guidance on the disaster recovery plan

  • To maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to the standards determined by the manufacturer, or as agreed with external IT Consultants, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures.

  • Setup and management of Android/IOS Mobile phones and their contracts

    Skills Required

  • Minimum 2 years in a IT support role with extensive user and system support experience

  • Excellent communication and customer support skills

  • Ability to self-manage time and prioritise support tickets based on type and severity of reported incident

  • Windows Server and Desktop operating systems

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 management / Microsoft SQL Server

  • Experience with IP Telephony Systems

  • Maintenance of Routers and Firewalls

  • You will be a team player

  • Hours Monday to Friday 9 am – 5.30 pm

  • Full clean driving licence essential

  • 22 days annual leave plus Bank Holiday, plus extra days given for Christmas closure
