Location: Northampton (Office-based with regular client site visits)

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Benefits

Full-time | Permanent

Are you a hands-on Network Engineer who thrives in a customer-facing role?

Do you enjoy delivering technical solutions while building strong relationships with clients?

We're working with a growing technology-led organisation in the healthcare sector that’s looking for a Network Engineer to join their close-knit team in Northampton. You'll play a pivotal role in designing and deploying networking solutions for new customer projects, while also acting as a technical lead and escalation point (3rd Line Support).

This is an ideal role for someone who loves being hands-on with tech, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and wants to work directly with customers, making a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead the deployment and implementation of customer networking solutions

Act as a technical bridge between clients and the internal engineering team

Deliver 3rd Line Support for complex networking and infrastructure issues

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and end customers

Design and implement LAN/WAN and MPLS-based networks

Contribute to internal process and documentation improvements

Assist in mentoring and guiding junior team members

Tech You'll Be Working With:

MPLS, LAN/WAN, Routing, Switching, VLANs, VPN

Wi-Fi network configuration & troubleshooting

Virtual Networks & Firewalls

Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022), Windows 10/11

SQL databases & basic scripting/queries

Office 365, Azure, Active Directory

Mobile platforms including Android

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Network Engineer or 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer

Confident in a customer-facing or client engagement role

Strong hands-on experience implementing networking solutions

Solid understanding of MPLS, LAN/WAN environments, and Wi-Fi networks

Comfortable with both Windows environments and SQL databases

Full UK Driving Licence (site visits required)
