We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Team Leader to oversee the monitoring of a Production, Oracle HCM based system, which includes numerous interfaces, modules and processes critical to maintaining service stability. The role requires expertise in using monitoring tools such as Business Service Management (BSM) to identify and flag events that may impact the live service, ensuring compliance with stringent KPIs and SLAs.
Day rate to contractor £400 (inside IR35)
Location: Warwick (2 to 3 days per week in the office).12-month duration

Key Responsibilities

  • System Monitoring: Continuously monitor Oracle HCM production services using tools like BSM to detect failed or slow processes, database events, and other anomalies that could affect system performance or stability.
  • Incident Management: Identify, escalate, and coordinate resolution for potential issues impacting SLAs, including database errors, process delays, or system outages.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse system performance metrics and proactively address areas of concern to prevent disruptions in the service.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports on system health, incidents, and SLA compliance for stakeholders during monthly reviews.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations and other support staff, to ensure timely resolution of issues affecting live services.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to monitoring processes and tools to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to team members on monitoring tools and best practices for incident management.

    Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Oracle HCM systems, OLTP, batch processing, workflows, database operations and ITIL.
  • Monitoring Tools Knowledge: Proficiency in Business Service Management (BSM) tools or similar monitoring platforms.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex issues quickly and develop effective solutions under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting incidents and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a production monitoring role or similar position within an Oracle HCM environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
