What You’ll Be Doing

As an ECT in Science, your role will involve:



Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students develop a passion for the subject and a solid understanding of core scientific principles.

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to a wide range of abilities and scientific disciplines.

*

Leading practical experiments that connect theory with real-world applications, inspiring curiosity and critical thinking.

*

Using assessment data to monitor student progress and raise attainment in Science.

*

Contributing to the development and evolution of the Science curriculum, working closely with colleagues in the department.

*

Supporting extracurricular initiatives, helping to foster a greater appreciation for Science beyond the classroom.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Science Teacher who:

*

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a science-related subject.

*

Has some experience or strong understanding of teaching Science to students aged 11–16.

*

Is confident in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that spark curiosity and deepen understanding across multiple scientific disciplines.

*

Is committed to continuous professional development and keen to grow in their teaching career.

*

Is passionate about Science and eager to inspire students to explore and enjoy the subject.

*

Works well as part of a collaborative team and contributes positively to the school’s ethos.
