Our Team  

Our Business Credit Risk team plays a pivotal role in shaping our lending strategy across Business lending. We're looking for a Senior Analyst to join our team and help us innovate and continue to grow responsibly while ensuring our lending meets customer needs and regulatory standards 

What you’ll be doing 

Supporting the Credit Risk Manager by producing meaningful insights and analysis to understand emerging portfolio trends across the Business portfolio. 

Implementing new ways of monitoring and identifying trends, strengths and weaknesses of the portfolio, driving efficiency and automation in our approach. 

Working collaboratively with Credit Risk, Commercial, Finance and Operational colleagues to identify improvements that maintain regulatory compliance, improve efficiency, or provides additional value to the business.    

Driving a culture of continuous improvement, rationalising processes, improving sophistication and addressing complexity across all aspects of managing the portfolio. 

Maintaining internal governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory guidelines, ensuring they are embedded in the business to promote good risk practices. 

We need you to have 

Experience producing analytics, with coding background in SAS, SQL or other data management tools used for conducting portfolio analytics. 

Good knowledge of Credit Risk in Financial Services. 

Insatiable curiosity and an inquisitive mindset with a drive to delve past surface level information and understand trends from first principles. 

Effective attention to detail, ensuring analytics produced is accurate and robust. 

Good communication, with the ability to condense and simplify complex information to other members of the team concisely.   

Experience in creating reports and insight using Power BI or other data visualisation tools

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential 

Technical skills in other data management tools / coding languages used for conducting portfolio analytics, such as Python or R. 

Understanding of the Business credit risk portfolio.
