You'll be part of our dynamic team at the Schroders Business Campus near Horsham, West Sussex. This spacious countryside campus offers a refreshing alternative to city life, complemented by cutting-edge software and hardware. What You’ll Do

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Develop and enhance both existing and new features of our product suite, following the SAFe methodology.

  • Utilize code reviews to drive quality improvements and facilitate knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate with Senior and Principal Developers to adopt and implement best practices, design patterns, and new technologies.

  • Coach and mentor fellow developers in design, coding quality, automated testing, and managing technical debt.

  • Provide technical guidance to help steer the team and achieve project objectives.

    Required Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications

    We are looking for candidates with:

  • 6 years of development experience, including a minimum of 3 years in building web applications.

  • 3 years of experience in .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.

  • 3 years of expertise in C# and SQL Server, alongside 2 years of ASP.NET MVC experience.

  • Familiarity with ASP.NET Web Forms and experience serving as a technical lead in small development teams.

  • A strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban) and object-oriented principles including SOLID.

  • Proficiency in ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework, Dapper, or NHibernate, as well as SOA/Microservices and NServiceBus.

  • Excellent communication skills and an appreciation for the broader business context affecting our stakeholders.

    Additional Knowledge That Will Benefit You

    Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:

  • Financial Services sector knowledge

  • Working within the SAFe methodology

  • Understanding of DevOps processes

  • Familiarity with CQRS and Azure (Storage, Service Bus, VMs, Azure Functions)

  • Proficient use of Git
