Software / Database Developer

We are looking for a skilled Developer to join our client's hybrid team on a 12 month fixed permanent role. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting robust internal software solutions to the business, which includes SQL Database Development, developing applications using Microsoft programming languages, utilizing Business Intelligence tools, and supporting reporting systems. Additionally, you will perform database administration and management tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Develop internal software solutions based on agreed user specifications.
Ensure that all software solutions adhere to the policies and strategies defined by the Development Manager.
Conduct thorough testing and documentation of procedures before handing over for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). (10% of time)
Develop and support database and reporting software solutions using SQL Stack, including SQL Management Studio, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS. (45% of time)
Provide technical support to the business for internally developed solutions and their dependencies. (40% of time)
Perform regular database administration to ensure optimal database performance. (5% of time)

What You Will Need for the Role

Strong knowledge of SQL, including SQL Management Studio, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
Proficiency in Microsoft programming languages for software development
Experience with database administration and performance optimization
Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and reporting systems
Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Methodical and organized approach to software development and testing
A Degree in a computer-related field or relevant experience (2+ years in development)
