SQL Developer – 2 Month Contract – Remote (Occasional travel to Exeter) – Inside IR35

My customer is looking for an experienced SQL Developer to simplify and improve the current reporting processes. The successful candidate will join the team for an 8-week project in the management of data and laying the groundwork for the movement to a Data warehouse.

The role will be predominantly remote, but the customer has requested an onsite visit to onboard, collect equipment and kick off the contract, moving to fortnightly face to face touch points throughout. The final visit will be required to handover at the conclusion of the project.

Key Responsibilities of the SQL developer:

Improve and streamline the reporting systems currently in place.
The extraction of data from 12 to 14 different, on-prem and cloud, sources and consolidating them into a holding database.
Optimisation of data integration and reporting process.
Providing the first steps towards a data warehouse project which will utilise Pipelines and Microsoft Fabric.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders during visits onsite including equipment collection, onboarding and progression reviews.
SQL Developer Experience and Technology:

Strong SQL development experience.
Hands on experience with PostgreSQL.
Use of ETL and data integration across multiple systems.
Exposure to modern data warehousing and cloud technology is preferred.
The Successful SQL developer will work remotely but would have the occasional visit onsite in Exeter.
