Work within the database development team reporting to the Database and Migration teams manager.



Responsible for design, development and management of high quality, efficient and effective solutions in Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL and related tools to support and extend data migration projects.

*

Optimise database performance by identifying bottlenecks, fine-tuning queries, and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency of internal systems and improve response times.

*

Analyse and cleanse production-level data to ensure its integrity, accuracy, and consistency, using data validation techniques.

Role Responsibility

*

Analyse data to support data cleansing and reconciliation activities.

*

Develop complex queries for data extraction, reporting, and analysis.

*

Work closely with non-technical stakeholders to define and interpret technical requirements.

*

Responsible for identifying issues with the data, data correction, and ensuring the accuracy of the data.

*

Perform data validation as part of an onboarding Migration process.

*

Help manage data conversion activities, ensuring that data structures are appropriately translated into the target format.

The Ideal Candidate

*

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of SQL programming and an excellent knowledge of the techniques and the functionality and capabilities of MS SQL Server 2017 and above.

*

A strong background in data management and manipulation, code management and version control (GIT) is also important, as is having good attention to detail.

*

Capable of working through problems independently and liaising with team members to find quality solutions.

Your job will involve

Writing complex scripts for data manipulation and management report generation

*

Export/Import of data

*

Data conversion/migration

*

Data correction

*

Database object creation (Functions, Stored Procedures, Tables, etc)

*

Performance tuning of new and existing code

*

Analyse SQL code for potential flaws

*

Optimisation and maintenance of existing products

Desired Skills

*

3+ years of SQL Developer experience supporting MS SQL Server Database infrastructures in large-scale environment.

*

Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills

*

Reasonable understanding of OS and Infrastructure / Network layer
