Data Engineer – DBT / SQL / Snowflake – Remote / York Hybrid

Do you enjoy working mostly remotely? Are you a Data Engineer with a problem-solving mindset and a sharp eye for detail?

This is a great opportunity to join a growing data team tackling complex, high-impact projects – building and maintaining modern data pipelines that deliver real insight and drive smarter business decisions.

Based in York, you’ll only need to be in the office once every couple of weeks (though you’re welcome more often if you like). Perfect for anyone with a solid home setup.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Wrangling large, messy datasets that haven’t been perfectly governed – so expect some ambiguity and creative problem-solving

  • Building, iterating, and maintaining models in DBT (this one’s non-negotiable), with heavy use of SQL

  • Supporting and improving a modern data stack – Snowflake experience is a big plus

  • Investigating data issues, trends, and anomalies with minimal direction

    About you:

  • Strong hands-on experience with DBT in production (hundreds of models, ideally)

  • Expert-level SQL skills

  • Proven experience working with ungoverned or messy datasets

  • Comfortable navigating incomplete documentation and figuring things out independently

  • Naturally curious, proactive, and collaborative – you ask as many good questions as you answer

  • Great communicator, both technically and non-technically

  • Snowflake familiarity is desirable but not essential.

Interviews are being arranged soon – so if this sounds like a good fit, hit apply.
And if you’re not 100% sure but you’re curious? Apply anyway – let’s have a chat
