Your New Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services organisation for a Report Modeller & Developer to join their Finance & Controlling MI team. As a Report Modeller & Developer, you'll design and develop data models, semantic layers, KPIs and reporting solutions that support operational reporting, business insight and strategic decision-making. You'll contribute to the migration from a legacy data warehouse into a modern Azure Data Lake, develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions, support data engineering activities using Databricks and Azure Data Factory, and work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Alongside your technical responsibilities, you'll mentor a Data Apprentice while promoting data quality, governance and best practice across the wider business.

Ensuring Your Success

To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong experience in data modelling, reporting, and analytics, with expert knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Power BI, including DAX and semantic modelling. You'll have a solid understanding of Azure Data Lake architecture, ETL processes, dimensional modelling and modern reporting principles, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable data solutions. Experience with Cognos would be beneficial but isn't essential. You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, thrives in Agile environments, and has a proactive approach to continuous improvement, problem-solving and mentoring less experienced colleagues.

In Return

You'll join an organisation investing heavily in its data capability, giving you the opportunity to work with modern Azure technologies on high-profile transformation initiatives. Alongside a collaborative and supportive environment, you'll gain exposure to enterprise-scale data projects, have the opportunity to influence future reporting architecture, mentor emerging talent, and continue developing your technical expertise while delivering real business value.
