Injection Mould Toolmaker

Location: Stevenage
Monday – Thursday 08:00-17:00
Friday – 08:00 – 16:00
Overtime may be required during busy periods.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Summary
Pin Point are looking for an Injection Mould Toolmaker for our client, a well-established company with a modern, fully equipped toolroom. The client specialises in high-precision injection moulding tools and offers a variety of advanced machinery for toolmaking, including Hurco machining centres, Sodick Wire Eroders, and CNC equipment.

The Injection Mould Toolmaker will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, and repair of injection mould tools, ensuring that the tools meet high standards for production. The role requires a deep understanding of toolmaking processes and the ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising quality or safety.

Injection Mould Toolmaker Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture and modification of injection mould tools using modern equipment.

  • Use of manual milling machines, lathes, and surface/cylindrical grinders.

  • Use of manual and CNC spark eroders, and CNC wire eroders.

  • Repair and modification of injection mould tools, ensuring functionality and precision.

  • Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools.

  • Use hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders for precision tasks.

  • Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding, and fitting.

  • Wiring of hot runner systems and fault finding when necessary.

    Injection Mould Toolmaker Qualifications:

  • Experience in injection mould toolmaking and high precision machining.

  • Ability to fit and assemble complex mould tools, including their repair.

  • Experience working to tight deadlines without compromising quality or safety.

  • Proficient in maintenance, repair, and modification of injection mould tools.

  • • Ability to prepare new mould tools for production.
